Bassam Salem
It’s a bit of a preview of the rubric I’m using for the book, adding a fifth H to create “personal culture”. These 5 Hs (Happy, Humble, Hungry, Healthy, and Horsepower) extend the team culture we built at Atlas, and form the basis of a playbook of habits, best practices, and tools that guide my personal progress.
I’m very excited about this project coming together over the coming year. It’s so cathartic to think, organize, write, and repeat.
Bassam is a tech executive and entrepreneur known for his interdisciplinary expertise and commitment to helping others. He founded AI company AtlasRTX (acquired in 2022) and now leads Mindshare Ventures, advising founders, executives, and teams. An Egyptian-American, he was raised in Egypt, France, England, and Utah; he holds CS degrees (BS, MS, MPhil) and an MBA from the University of Utah where he is now a Trustee. He is based in Utah, USA and writes, speaks, and advises on character & culture, leadership & excellence, and the long game.
